Disaster Recovery Plan

A disaster recovery plan is a detailed strategy set out by an organisation to help support clients, staff and volunteers during an unexpected event or disaster. It also assists the organisation’s prompt recovery from an adverse event and the restoration of usual operations and services as quickly as possible. Examples of unexpected events or disasters include natural disasters (floods, storms, fires), cyber security threats and infectious diseases (such as the Covid–19 pandemic).

Footprints has developed a comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plan, to guide the organisation’s response to, and recovery from unforeseeable adverse or disaster events in the future, with the overarching aim of minimising service disruptions to clients. In the event of a disaster, Footprints prioritise the safety of staff and clients, the continuation of services and timely communication regarding the disaster management response.
