Show More Show Less

Footprints HRS facilitates the Immediate Housing Response for Families (IHRF), funded and implemented by the Queensland Government Department of Housing to support Queensland families in housing need to access short-term emergency accommodation and other essential items which includes financial support for tenancy commencement and tenancy sustainment costs for those families who are homeless in the Redlands region.

Footprints provides Case Management to families who are supported through IHRF to receive ongoing support from homelessness, through to temporary accommodation to long-term housing solutions.

Families’ budgets will be assessed, and families will be required to provide a relevant contribution towards their motel accommodation – this is calculated on an individual basis.

IHRF aims to:

  • Source emergency accommodation, local to Redlands region for families to have stability from homelessness.
  • HRS IHRF Case Managers will assist families to complete all housing applications and documents.
  • Assist with linkages and support to other relevant services.
  • Assist to moved into long-term housing solutions.
What is Enhanced Outreach?

Show More Show Less

Enhanced Outreach, is an integral part of the Homelessness Response Service (HRS) program complementing the already embedded HRS and Immediate Housing Response for Families (IHRF).

Enhanced Outreach empowers Footprints to engage in assertive outreach in the Redlands region, reaching out to and supporting individuals experiencing chronic homelessness and sleeping rough in public spaces, including parks, shelters, and squats.

With the dedicated assistance of our Homelessness Assertive Outreach Workers, we aim to provide vital support to those sleeping rough or residing in makeshift dwellings, facilitating their transition to temporary or more stable housing options.

Using a person-centred approach, together, we strive to foster positive change and create pathways to brighter housing outcomes for those in need within our community.

Enhanced Outreach aims to:

  • Identify people who are sleeping rough across the Redlands region and work with local services to provide support where the person is at.
  • Assertive outreach support across the Redlands Region to individuals who are experiencing homelessness in public spaces.
  • Link into services and navigation of housing systems.
  • Support a transition to appropriate temporary accommodation, working towards a goal of appropriate long-term housing.
  • Referral to health services.
  • Support to access organisations that can assist with a person’s situation / circumstance.
