I have been a support worker since February 2022, and I have really enjoyed the experience. It’s my first job after five years in the army and I couldn’t have asked for a better job transitioning out of the defence force. Being a Home Care Support Worker gives me a level of fulfilment — I really enjoy meeting new people and getting to know new areas of Brisbane.
I’ve always had so much respect and admiration for disability support organisations, and that has greatly increased after working for one. I get to see how the support they provide has such a strong impact on a client’s life.
I hope I can continue to work for Footprints for many years to come.
