During the Christmas and New Year period, our offices will be closed Friday 24 December until Tuesday 28 December and also closed Monday 3 January. Season’s greetings from all of us at Footprints.

Ending the Homelessness Cycle

Having a safe and secure place to live is a basic human right and at Footprints we believe that everyone deserves to have a home and have somewhere safe and comfortable to sleep at night.

Our new Housing and Homelessness Response Service (REDLANDS) will deliver specialist homelessness services to those experiencing homelessness and or at risk of homelessness within the Redlands region including Wynnum Bayside, southern Moreton Bay islands and North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah).

We are committed to ending the homelessness cycle by providing several different programs and services, read more …

Footprints 30 Year Anniversary

2021 marks the 30 Year Anniversary of Footprints. We are very pleased to be celebrating this milestone and value all who are sharing this special year with us, whether you have been with us for a short time or a long time.

An organisation such as ours, does not have the longevity and success that we have experienced without certain qualities. This year we showcased these qualities through the eyes of our most valuable members — our clients, staff and volunteers as we told their stories. These stories highlight the relationships that form the foundations of Footprints. We hope you enjoyed reading them as they were unveiled throughout 2021 and we hope they shine a light on the valuable contribution Footprints makes to the community.

Nine important values came to light in these stories: Respectful, Caring, Friendly, Supportive, Welcoming, Compassion, Helpful, Honesty and Understanding.

Coronavirus Awareness

In these changing times we continue to adapt how we support our clients and staff. There may be disruption to some services caused by COVID-19 restrictions and we make every effort to keep our clients informed of any changes. It is important to remember we all need to stay informed and follow the directions of Queensland Government.

During these times avoid unnecessary risks, maintain social distancing and infection control, and always ask for assistance if you need it.

I truly feel part of Footprints and just love the clients as we all learn from each other.  The staff acknowledge us as part of the team and that is a gift in itself. The reward for me is knowing that at the end of each day, I might have made a difference.
