Stand Up, Step Out (SUSO)
SUSO provides mobile outreach support to people experiencing homelessness, social and/or financial hardship.
On any given night across greater Brisbane, there are about 9,000 people (ABS 2021 Census) who do not have a safe place to sleep.
Footprints SUSO outreach team provides free support to people who are sleeping rough and/or at risk of homelessness across this region.

What we provide
Our van provides a comfortable and safe environment to access laundry facilities. Our dedicated team is also available to help people get access to the right supports and services.
SUSO works with organisations and neighbourhood centres to complement the existing services that are already present in the area.
Who is this program for?
SUSO assists vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and experiencing social or financial hardship.

SUSO assists people located in the outer suburbs of Brisbane, in particular Caboolture, Redcliffe and Wynnum.

“I really like it because it’s respectful. I don’t feel like a second-class citizen. The quiet level of respect. The simple stuff – a cuppa and a chat. They’ve got ability to form relationships. I don’t know where I’d be without it.”
