Footprints Community Ltd is pleased to announce the official opening of its new Medicare Mental Health Centre in Redlands.
The centre offers crucial and free support to the people of Redlands who are experiencing mental health and wellbeing challenges.
Located at 40 Middle Street, Cleveland, it commenced operations late last year.
Since then, it has been providing a welcoming environment where anyone from the local community can receive immediate, short-, and medium-term wellbeing support. It also provides service navigation to connect individuals with ongoing care and resources.
It is one of two centres that Footprints Community is funded to operate. The second one officially opened in Logan in December 2024.
Cherylee Treloar, Chief Executive Officer of Footprints Community, said, “The new Redlands centre is groundbreaking for the region for its open-door approach making mental health support readily accessible.
“Anyone from the community is welcome to walk through our door to engage in timely and compassionate support from a team committed to their wellbeing.”
The centre was co-designed with the community in mind, following extensive community consultations led by Helen Glover of Enlightened Consultants.
Services offered at the centre include:
- Community Wellbeing Groups
- Mental Health Information and Resources
- Professional Mental Health Care
- Service Navigation
- Wellbeing Coaching
The centre provides a walk-in service, with no appointment, Medicare card, GP referral, or mental health care plan required. It is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and is free for everyone.

This initiative is supported by Brisbane South PHN through funding provided by the Australian Government as part of the $360 million plan to expand free, walk-in mental health services across Australia.
