Footprints Community Ltd is proud to announce the opening of its new Medicare Mental Health Centre in Logan Central. The centre, which began operations on Monday, October 28, 2024, provides a welcoming and stigma-free space for Logan residents experiencing mental health and wellbeing challenges.
Located at 91 Wembley Road, Logan Central, the centre offers immediate, short- and medium-term wellbeing support and service navigation to connect people to ongoing services. It is one of two centres that Footprints is funded to operate, with a second location in Redlands scheduled to open soon.
Cherylee Treloar, Chief Executive Officer of Footprints Community, stated, “This is a groundbreaking project for Footprints and the Logan community. The centre was co-designed with the community in mind, led by Helen Glover of Enlightened Consultants”.
The co-design process involved extensive consultation with local community stakeholders, including people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, First Nations people, the LGBTIQA+ community, individuals with lived experience of mental health distress, and local community members. Services offered at the Logan Centre include:
- Community Wellbeing Groups
- Mental Health Information and Resources
- Professional Mental Health Care
- Service Navigation
- Wellbeing Coaching
The centre operates as a walk-in service, with no appointment, Medicare card, GP referral, or mental health care plan required. It is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and is free for everyone.

This initiative is supported by Brisbane South PHN through funding provided by the Australian Government as part of the $360 million plan to expand free, walk-in mental health services across Australia.
